Holidays in Kefalonia
The largest of the Ionian Islands, Kefalonia remains a relatively undeveloped island
with breathtaking scenery. Forests of pine trees cascade down hillsides towards
magnificent beaches lapped by crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea.The towns of
Skala, Fiskarado and Argostoli are renowned for their variety of excellent tavernas, bars
and restaurants.Although a popular destination, Kefalonia has retained its charm and
is an ideal choice for those wishing to find the 'unspoilt' Greece.
Lassi
Transfers: 10mins (taxi)
This lively and popular resort is a hot holiday spot for both families and couples. Magnificent
white sandy beaches, an array of water-sports and plenty of entertainment on offer Lassi is a
perfect resort for a relaxing and fun-packed holiday. There is no shortage of shops, bars, tavernas
and restaurants, but if you are in the mood for more sophistication Argostoli is a 15 minutes
drive away.
Skala
Transfers: 1hr (by taxi)
A spectacular backdrop of mountain scenery complemented by 6kms of sandy/shingle beach
are the hallmark of Skala. A small but still lively resort surrounded by pine-scented forests,
there’s a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars and tavernas. Charming, traditional and
simply breathtaking can best describe Skala.
Fiscardo
Transfers: 1hr 30.ms (by taxi)
Retaining its original charm and character Fiscardo is not an over-developed resort. Amazingly
beautiful and embraced in lush green forests contrasted with the blue-green waters of the sea,
many of its beautiful beaches are only accessible by sea making this part of Kefalonia so unique.
The picturesque and colourful harbour is dotted with chic restaurants, bars cafes and shops and
although the resort gets busy in high season, this place manages to keep its magic. Foki bay, a
pleasant 20 minutes walk from the harbour is one of the few beaches where you can actually
access without taking a boat to get to the beach.
