Holidays in Madeira
Madeira offers a wonderful year round climate, stunning lush scenery and a superb range of quality hotels and quintas. Its unique eternal spring like climate provides a huge variety of tropical fruits and flowers affording it the name as the Floating Garden of the Atlantic, with two thirds of the island designated as a national park.
The island itself is of volcanic origin, with dramatic mountainous countryside, stunning peaks and cliffs. The levada irrigation channels which are laced across the island also make for very pleasant walks.
Madeira is not renowned for its sandy shores however sunworshippers will not be disappointed as there are a few manmade beaches, numerous lidos and wonderful hotel pools often overlooking dramatic ocean views.
