Holidays in Agia Paraskevi

Surrounded by lush green forest on one side and a wide golden sandy bay on the other side, Agia Paraskevi is a delightful beach resort on the south coast of Skiathos. Located only 7 km from Skiathos Town, Agia Paraskevi is ideally located away from the busy town area, but still close enough to hop on a local bus and go exploring. Skiathos Town is known for its fabulous cosmopolitan restaurants and bars overlooking the lovely harbour where numerous luxury yachts are moored during the summer months. Agia Paraskevi boasts a beautiful long stretch of soft sandy beach westward from Kolios Beach with a range of water sport including waterskiing, jet-skiing, paragliding and boat rental. Sail along the shore to the nearby village of Kastro or take a water taxi to Skiathos Town. Agias Paraskevi is not a super busy beach resort, but offers enough entertainment to keep the whole family happy. The neighbouring beaches of Banana, Koukounaries and Troulos Beach are a short distance away and highly recommended for a day trip.

Named after the Church of St. Paraskevi (‘St. Friday’), this lovely resort is an ideal place to unwind in nature’s peaceful surroundings - and although it is a fairly quiet resort, there is still a fair selection of bars and restaurants. Platanias, situated close by, is a popular spot for some authentic Greek food at traditional tavernas known for their warm Greek hospitality.
