Holidays to Fiscardo

A picturesque fishing community which oozes peace and tranquillity. The village of Fiscardo is said to be the most beautiful in Kefalonia - and the only one that remained intact during the earthquake in 1953. The delightful streets are lined with pastel-coloured traditional Greek and Venetian houses that are protected and considered as part of the village’s traditional inheritance. The bay welcomes a lovely array of sailing boats, luxury yachts and traditional wooden fishing boats creating a picture-perfect scenery from any of Fiscardo’s little cafes and restaurants at the waterfront. The village is full of tiny patisseries, sweet-smelling bakeries and craft shops. For a sumptuous lunch, head to a waterfront taverna offering views of the beautiful bay and the island of Ithaca. This small island lying off the northeast coast of Kefalonia has 3,000 inhabitants and is considered to be the home of Odysseus.

Because of its characteristic architecture and lovely coastline, Fiscardo beautifully combines a delightful village life with its upmarket eateries and a relaxing beach holiday. Nearby, there are numerous beautiful beaches and secret coves surrounded by crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. We recommend hiring a small motor boat to have the freedom to explore Fiscardo’s gorgeous coastline!
