Formerly a quiet fishing town, Nea Moudania has developed into one of Halkidiki’s best known resorts boasting a lovely long, sandy beach, traditional town centre and one of the largest fishing ports in Greece. The town of Nea Moudania features a good selection of bars, restaurants, tavernas, shops and markets, and although the large all inclusive resorts tend to keep guests entertained 24 hours a day, it is definitely worthwhile to visit the town to get a better sense of place. Surrounded by fertile fields, endless olive groves and green slopes, Nea Moudania’s beach is lined with idyllic tavernas and offers a range of sport facilities including beach volleyball, windsurfing, waterskiing and pedalos. There is also a famous yachting club offering sailing and fishing.

Nea Moudania is home to an amazing two-thousand seat amphitheatre which hosts various summer concerts. Another interesting tourist attraction is the triple-aisled basilica Panagia Koryfini which gloriously sits on the top of the hill offering magnificent panoramic views.
